dented front, blinker headache

Well the other night my buddy forgot to put my pickup in park and it rolled down a hill and hit a cattle gate so now my front passenger side blinker is all screwed up. When I turn on the lights the parking light wont turn on and the right blinker indicator is on solid in the cab when the headlight switch is on, but when i turn on the blinker it takes a couple seconds but it starts blinking like it should. The tail light blinks and works fine. It did break the plastic orange lens and dent the chrome outer grill but it sure did a number on that gate it snapped the chain holding it lol. Then another thing the blinker switch in the column turning both ways the clamps that hold the switch in place broke last winter when it was about -40 degrees so ive been holdng the blinker switch while i turn ever since but has been working fine until the other night, so i doubt that is the problem and the nearest parts store is about a hour drive so before i go and fill a tank of gas in i wanna know what options my options are.

did you pull the bulb and check it yet?, might have broken a filament, and check the socket and make sure no wires got pinched.

Go to Shucks, they have metal sockets, not the plastic crap ones. My 78 had similar problems, and I replaced the light sockets and fixed the problem. On top of that I think that they were like $9-10 a piece.

I pulled a couple from a junkyard once, one worked. i would go with new. if you order online, you dont have to spend anything on gas.

I've had the same problem, with the blinker light staying on. Check your ground wires, that was my problem (it came loose).
