GM in China...........
Noticed an item on the news last night. Big demand for Chevys in China, and Buicks. GM has over one billion in sales in China. Losing money in US. I wonder where Ford stands??????

I saw on a TV show the other night that foreign vehicles (American and Japanese) are considered to be status symbols in china, and they showed somebody driving a Chrysler 300.
Not sure how Ford is doing over there though.

The "Buicks" are nothing more than rebadged Daewoo's! They are not the Lucerne and LaCrosse models sold here.
I wouldn't be a bit surprised if the Chevy's are another "GM Badge Engineered" product.
The Chevy Aveo sold in the US is imported from South Korea, another Daewoo behind the badge. It's prolly sold in China as a Chevrolet ______ (fill in the blank).
btw: Both Ford and ChryCo have assembly and parts plants in China.

GM North America is in a huge financial boondoggle. For the first time since 1933, GM has stopped issuing stock dividends.
What does that tell you about GM's overall financial position?
