DIY Bedcover?

Has anyone made a bedcover for their truck? If so, how did you go about it. I been toying with the idea, but not sure how to begin. Looking to make it more aerodynamic(for mileage purposes) but also want it to be semi-easy to remove when I need to. I was thinking about plexi-glass, and any insight would be cool.

chances are it would be cheaper to buy one than build your own... Unless you went with a plywood solution. Don't get me wrong, I'm a huge diy guy, but I get the feeling that making a solid reinforced bed cover would be expensive. If you go to mcmaster and price out a few lengths of aluminum and 40 square feet of poly sheeting, you will see... If you want a soft cover, maybe some plastic sheeting and snaps... And alum reinforcements.
