Im getting ready to buy 2004 f250 superduty, this will be my 1st, I here a lot of talk about these trucks front ends doing a lot of bouncing around when they hit pot holes & times drivers have had problems controlling the truck. could somebody shed some light on this subject for me thanks.
For 4x4:
More so on the 05-07s (mainly lifted) can experience "death wobble". Normally an alignment issue or a loose suspension component is the culprit.
Not really an issue on the 99-04s unless your alignment is way off..
I drive an 04 F250 4X4 at work and we use it to plow and move equipment. Yeah the ride can be a bit bouncy in some big bumps and otholes but nothing out of the ordinary for a 3/4-1 ton pickup truck in my opinion. These trucks have solid axles fornt and back to be beefy and take abuse and live to tell about it, if you want a smooshy marshmellowy ride get a chevy, but dont get mad when your aligning the frontend every couple months and you break parts if you do any serious work. These trucks are made to do work, and they do this very well. They are the toughest pickup trucks trucks on the road bar none. The bouncyness is the nature of the beast, and honestly I have never even bene close to even thinking I might lose control.
