Guages. Which Ones?

I am finally able to start pulling the stuff together to start on dad's truck and the first thing after the 6637 and zoodad is guages. I have looked at the Autometer, Dipricol, and Isspro. Which ones are better and what makes them better? I would rather spend the money once and never have to mess with them again. Also, this week I have finally been able to start on my truck with the rebuild, it just took me awhile to pull most of the money together.

If the added money for Diprocols isn't an issue, everyone that has them loves them. I am a big fan of the Isspro's and they have performed flawlessly for me, but I have to admit, the Diprocols look even better with the led lighting and they aren't THAT much more.

I have Dipricols and they look factory, that's why I got them, and they look really good at night too.

Same here. I love how my Dipricols look, especially at night. Also with the Dipricols you don't have to worry about the boxes like with the Isspros, so you don't have to find a place to mount them. I think that you can't go wrong with either one though, I just went with Dipricols for the factory matched look.

The isspro's match the look of the factory gauge as well, so that isn't a big issue. Can you guys dim the dipricols?

I have the Autometer Sport Comps in my 2001, and they have worked perfectly. However, I still think the ISS Pro and Dipricol are a better quality gauge.

The bottom line is if you stick with one of those three, you can't go wrong. You're the one paying for them, and you're going to be looking at them every day, so the most important thing is to get the ones you like the best.

They do not come with a dimmer, mine didn't anyway. But Diesel Manor shows that a dimmer comes with their Dipricol wiring harness so I guess they can be dimmed. I made my own harness though, but mine are fine as they are. I guess they would be turned up all the way as far as light output would go.

My ISSPRO's are wired into the factory dimmer, so it matches up with the Dash lights. To the original poster.........Dipricol's are probably the highest quality, but TONS of people on here use any of these 3 brands with no problems. I got a smokin deal on my ISSPRO's or I probably would've gotten the Dipricols just for the LED lights!

I like the Isspro gauges because of the color banding. You can tell at a glance if you are pushing the limits.

Another vote for Dipricols, if $ isn't an issue.

I am going to try to convince him to go with the Dipricols I am not spending the money, just doing the work so we will have to see. I do know that Dipricols are going in my truck after I get the rebuild completed.

I cheaped out and put Autometer Z-series gauges on the truck (eight years ago) and they have been completely reliable without a single issue.

If I were to do it again I'd probably order DiProcols. They are the best looking gauges I've seen.

Isspro's were never on my short list. I'm not crazy about the idea of needing external amplifiers for my gauges to work.
