Piece of cake. Instructions explain everything well. You can look over the instuctions on the DP site and have a handle on it before you get it. Just make sure your key is out of the ignition before you start.
It's not hard. Making sure that you do everything right is the hardest part, i.e. cleaning the contacts properly. When I put mine in the truck wouldn't start so I took the PCM out 2 more times after I took it out the first time, and the problem was if you could believe it, I had the cable plugged into the f5 switch upside down. Make sure the f5 switch lights up when you turn your key on. Just do like Barry said and read over the instructions before the DP gets to you and you should be fine.
clean that silicone off well (fingernails get most, then some acetone and light brushing with the scotchbrite for the rest), and you'll be fine.
And you'll be smiling.
Just make sure you have gauges in before putting in the tuner.
All I have to add is when using the scotch brite make sure that only a little copper is showing like fine lines (scuff it), if you take to much off the chip may not fit as tightly and the connection may be bad. Make sure you get the silicone off the other side to.
Barry that is one AWESOME COVER! My chip install was extremely easy the first time I just handed my PCM to Jody him self and let him do it . It isn't to bad just make sure the connections are cleaned like Jeff said but not too much there is a fine line there. Follow Guzzle's instructions and you cannot go wrong.

Click the Pete's cover in my sig for his email. Let him know you are interested in one of his covers and he will contact you soon with a list of his designs and will even do a custom design for you. He is an active member here on FTE and goes by F250_. His DP-Tuner design is his newest, I think, and comes in several color options.
