Nah.. : ) we just stack rocks and go up and down stuff that would normally apear to be too much to conquer. U can do it! If I wasn't too lazy to post pictures, you would see what I mean. two foot is nothing, ; )

 

I've been running the sand beaches for 35 years mostly in F250's. Bought a 97 Explorer 2 years ago just for fishing only and it's been a nightmare! No ground clearence is a major factor as I'm running in tracks from other vehicles sometimes a foot deep and dragging the belly of the truck through this stuff. Another factor is it has control track even though engaged in 4 wheel doesn't seem to work all that well. Thank God it has skidplates or I would have been toast with rocks tearing out the fueltank with me in it? It's a Sunday truck as we call these SUV's around here! Taking the kids and Grandma out for a ride here and there once in a while it's great. Weekly diet of abuse is not what it was made for. I shoulda bought a Jeep?

 

I took the 03 Aviator off road slowly, through a very small ditch to unload some firewood at our campsite, and noticed it has little or no articulation. at one point I had the passenger rear and driver side front both dangling in the air. It appears it would take some major work to get this thing ready to offroad, but it could be done.
