Vacuum wiper knob/cable assembly

Vacuum wiper ****/cable assembly
I am getting my vacuum wipers going in my 52 F-1 panel and am having a problem with the cable and on/off ****. The cable makes a tight return bend to the motor,it is stiff, so I removed the cable to lubricate and found that the cable seems to be attached to/ part of the **** housing. I got a new **** on NOTFREEBAY before I knew the deal with these boys and the cable was hacked off. I think I can make something work between the two, however I would just as soon buy a new or NOS. I checked Joblot, Dennic C, Macs and Sacramento V Ford and didnt see anything. Anyboby out there got a lead or suggestion for this one?? John
