Loose one piece windows

I have fitted some one piece windows from mid fifty in my 55 F100.
They are easily pulled down from the outside with the palm of your hand.
Has anyone else come across this problem and if so did you find a fix?

The window winder mechanism are the original ones.

I assume the inside handles are spinning when you "palm" them down? If so, it sounds like the regulators are worn out or broken in some manner. Time to go to power windows or new regulators.

Yes the handles are spinning, I did wonder about the regulators. I don't fancy power windows.... I don't suppose there is anyway of tightening the old ones is there? I have not long fitted new 1/4 inch longer shafts. Thanks for your help.

Finding replacement regulators should not be too hard. Check Ebay. I see them on there from time to time...
