Okay, so I have figured out that the brakes are controlled by the power steering
pump. Hydraulic brakes as opposed to vacuum actuated. When they are working
well, stopping my 6,000 lb beast feels like stopping a sports car. When they are
NOT working well, its difficult to hold it stopped at a stoplight and it certainly
doesn't want to stop from a roll.
I have got to figure out what this issue is. Sometimes I can rest my foot on the
pedal to stop it and keep it stopped. Sometimes I have to grip the wheel and
almost STAND on the pedal to stop it. Well, that might be a little bit drastic, but
you get the idea.
Anyone have any ideas where I could start to figure this problem out?

From my experiences you have a booster that is going bad. It could be a simple check valve, but more than likely it's the booster itself. The symptom you described sounds like a bad booster. eventually it won't be intermittent, you'll have to stand on it all the time. And it won't stop in a panic situation.
Sorry, I guess I need to re-fix my signature. Not sure where it went. It is a 2006
Harley-Davidson F-250 6.0. 77,000 miles. No brakes done yet.
Could be your slide pins are sticking. Look at the pads of each wheel to see if one pad is thinner then the other. With bad slide pins, one pad is getting more push to the rotor then the other. Here is how you grease them. click here

Is your steering getting harder?
Steering has been unaffected at this point. Nothing I have noticed anyway.
I'll check the slide pins. That is a great thought. Thanks.
