instr panel light
On my 86 e 350 the intensity of the instr panel light is very low even I turn the light switch dimmer to the max position. The dimmer work fine but the lights don't come to the full intensity with the button fully clockwise.
Any tips?

Sounds to,me like the rheostat in the switch is wearing out.
If you venture forth and replace it, it might be a good time to remove the cluster and clean it up and replace the bulbs too.

I've changed the entire headlight switch and checked all the bulbs in the cluster. No bulb is blackened.
But the problem is still there.
I've also installed an aftermarket tach, and the illumination in it, is dimmed. Seems not to be the cluster bulb's because the tach is brand new.
Any help please
