annoying buzz
Hi. I open the driver's side door to my 94 Ford Ranger and I get the same warning buzz that I get when I leave the keys in the ignition. There's no good reason for this to happen and it is quite annoying when I have to leave the door open for an extended time. Should I just disconnect the problem and where do I start pulling out fuses and wires and such? Thanks for your time and assistance. My ears really appreciate it.

My wife's Aerostar does the same thing. It's the ignition switch. Try fiddling with it after you shut the motor off and take the key out and see if it will jiggle over far enough to turn off the buzzer.

Why not just disconnect the buzzer instead?
