Can I downsize?
New to the forum! Glad to see that there are many other ford enthusiasts out there.
I was talking to a buddy of mine, and he has 15" rims and 31" mud brutes he wants to sell me for 300 bucks.
Then I was talking to another friend, and he said that I couldn't downsize on my rims, because I have 16" rims on my 2001 Ford Ranger Edge 4x4.
Could I do this without the 15" rim rubbing on my calibers?
And also could I fit the 31's?

You sure can down size to a 15" rim, as a matter of fact, the ranger FX4 level II's came with a 15" rim. 31" tires will fit nicely, I ran 32's on my 04 ranger 4x4 with no rubbing. I crank the torsion bars to level the truck, but the tires still fit before I did that.
