Anyone have a wiring diagram for all those blunt end wires behind the fuse box? I am looking for either an accessory hot or ignition hot to wire a CB radio to. I already used the purple with green stripe for the upfitter switches. I really don't want to rip the blunt ends off every one of those wires to test them.
This is a 2006 PSD.
Are you talking about the red, white, and blue bundle of wires? Those just pass through the firewall and are also termed in the engine compartment. That's for adding accessories w/o breaching the firewall seal.
I'll have to look at the manual later today to determine which are hot wires, whether switched or ignition.
Thanks. I'm not talking about the four pre-wired through the firewall wires.
I'm looking to wire a CB into a pre-existing ignition hot or accessory hot wire that I hope is under the dash somewhere.
My owner's manual doesn't seem to have that info, but I bought used and might not have all the documentation.
I have already used the one ignition hot wire most people use to wire in the upfitter switches (see my post above) so that is not available.
The blunt ends are what Kepler said they were for. They are just for the blunt cut ends in the engine compartment. Your best bet would be to go to the nearest electrical parts store, maybe a radio shack, and get a fuse tap connector. It will allow you to fet power from the fuseblock through the fuse. You can tap into the wiper circuit or any other ignition fead circuit. Its real easy and clean.
Hope that helps. I will see if I can find a picture or part number for you and post back.
