Oil leak

Hey all. Several years ago I began a restoration of a 1966 Ford F-100. I pulled the worn out 352 out and replaced it with a rebuilt 302. Since I still had a ton of body work to do on the truck, the motor probably was not run for a couple of years. Now I am about done and just have the upholstery to do and have b een driving the truck. I notice that there is oil laying in the recesses on top of the water pump and of course the fan blows it around. The only thing I can think of that would get oil on top of the water pump would be the valve covers or the front of the intake manifold from the valley gaskets or possibly from the distributor O ring. The valve cover gaskets and the distributor O ring look good. Anybody else had this problem or any ideas?

Intake manifold. I had a problem like that once and it was the intake. Did you put some sylicone in the corners of the intake? Thats where it will leak.

Remove the intake and ditch the cork end seals for a nice thick bead of black RTV.

These motors don't leak!!!

That's actually a coolant leak, though it's in the same location at the front of the intake somewhere, and it left pools of green fluid in valleys on the timing cover. It didn't leak fast enough to spot, but all that fluid attracts a lot of dirt over a couple years.
