Thumbs down Climate Control System went Dead

I have a 02 Explorer Eddie Bauer V6, 104,000 miles, with the climate control system. I was driving home the other night and the complete system went dead. No display, no rear system, nothing. Acted like a fuse blew and shut the whole system down. I've tried the simple things like checking the fuses on the drivers side, turning the light switch to different positions, but with no luck. Does anyone have any other ideas of where the problem might be? I've read where the control module has been a problem, but up until now I've had no previous indications it was going bad.

Make sure you check all the related fuses: 16, 25, 30.

Mine went out on my '91 like that 3 times last year. I thought a fuse blew but after I kept driving for an hour or so it just started working again...all 3 times. I think maybe a not so good connection or perhaps some module like you suggest. But so far it hasn't done it again. Maybe it will come back like mine did.

Problem fixed

I double checked my fuse box and found fuse # 30 , the 5 amp blown. So far, its worked and not blown again. Owners manual says its for the Daytime Running Lamps (DRL), Remote Solenoid, DEATC Climate Controller. Thanks for the input everyone.
