Hey Guys, y'all might think I'm blowing smoke with this post, but I'll do it anyway. I have been reading about diesel additives on the net, I have never beleived in them, but today I decieded to try some, the best the mileage monitor has ever showed in the past was 19.3, today I put 11 oz's of Lucas additive in the tank, I filled completley up. I made normal trip that I usually do. the moniter went all the way up to 21.1. I traveled 79.8 miles and it took 3.25 gals, so real mileage the way I figure is a whopping 24.5 mpg, has anyone else had this kind of results, or am I crazy or drunk or stupid or something. If it really is right Long Live Lucas, I will try it again later in the week and let you know what happens.

I've had pretty good luck with Stanadyne. I might be getting 1 or 2 mpg better, guess I've never figured it out, since I've been running it in the truck since I got it.
You know, at 65, I can pull down around 22 with my '06, if it's flat and level, so this seems about right. Never tried Lucas either. Wonder if it's cheaper than Stanadyne?

I have never tried the Stanadyne, but if I have figured right this Lucas is a great thing, I paid $9.95 plus tax for a 32 oz bottle at the Auto Zone here in Kentwood, I figure that is enough for 3 tanks.
Hello all. Thanks for the warm welcome. I might have to try the Lucas myself. Last trip I made to Colorado, I hand calculated 17.2 and 18.5 for the first two tanks. I didn't even want to know what it was once I hit the mountains. That was keeping it between 70 and 75mph. But I guess that's not too bad for the old 7.3's.
