Post Factory "alarm" problem,....

I recently bought as used 1995 F-250. The previous owner stated she never locked the doors, so they were no help with this.
If I lock the doors on this unit, and attempt to unlock them from the outside with the key, the factory alarm goes off. (horn, headlights, and kills the ignition.) (This unit has pwr locks, etc.)
Is there any way I can just disable the entire factory alarm without hurting anything??
Thank you very much!
Elton.

Does the alarm go off when opening with both the drivers side and passenger side door? The key cylinders on both doors have a alarm disable built into it that should disable the alarm when opened with the key.

I have the exact same issue-- on my 98 explorer-- HELP! The alarm system was working fine-- then I changed my battery and now the alarm is super sensitive and keeps chirping and resetting itself whenever the engine is off- wether they keys are in the ignition or not.
