Brake rotor options

I tow rarely, and the OEM stuff did fine for me. I'd like to upgrade to PowerSlots, but I've got a Subaru needing a clutch, CV axles, & rear wheel bearing; a Passat with busted headlights ($500!!!), rent & utilities to pay...

So yes, i'm trying to get fixed without dropping $800 just in parts...

So, are Raybestos, AC Delco, or other manufacturers decent/comparable to the OEM rotors?

My original OEM's are still holding up after 110K miles. I guess they're good stuff.

Sure, but OEM's are like $140/ea and PowerSlots which are generally considered MUCH better can be had for $10 or so more - that would make OEM a non-option for that small of a price differential

AC Delco's can be had for less than half that...

I did the powerstop rotors all around and their performance /towing pads for $390 to my door. Good option

AC Delco=GM parts right??? Couldn't think of having GM stuff on my truck...

Shoot, for $10 more, I'd go with the Powerslots. Lots of guys here swear by them. Didn't realize that the price was that close.

I got the powerslots on the front of my truck and I like them. Havent had them on very long so cant give a good opinion. I replaced them cause the OEMs were warped at 77k. The pads that came off were still good shape.

got them off of ebay from brakemotive76, I would just call him and negotiate a price sounds like there is some room to play.

NO, OEM is original equipment manufacturer, all the others are aftermarket (generally less quality to soften the repair ticket) Thats why folks end up replacing rotors much more often after their OEMs wear out.
My OEM rotors lasted 150K miles, and the 1st aftermarkets,(carquest) lasted 50K, the second aftermarkets(NAPA) lasted ~50K. I am about to start looking for new rotors again(just had my last turn done on current rotors) but since the truck just sits during the week now and does not get but about 1-200 miles a week it will be awhile.

Excellent!! Thanks for the tip!! I need some too. Mine have been gone for a while now and I'm tired of the shimmy!!! Power Slots are exactly what I need!!!

I did the Power Stops as well last week. There were an AWESOME deal. They are the same thing as Power Slots for half the price. Word on the street is they are a relative of the Slots... IIRC the rotors were 65 a piece???
I put Hawk pads on mine, but it is the same difference. A local race car shop is a dealer from Hawk and they could get me the set for around 120. They were over ten dollars cheaper than any set on the internet.
In the end, I did a performance brake job for the same or less than OEM or NAPA.
