Another Neutral safety switch question
The long is I have a 78 C6 or at least i think that is the year of it, it was in the truck when i got it. Here is the question. I took a NSS out of a 78 C6 truck to use on my due to it not having one at all. The switch i took off had two bolts holding it on, look to be about 1/4 inch. This switch is that same as the one in the pictures Numberdummy has posted several times.
The problem is that my trany only has one mounting hole for the switch and it uses a 3/8 bolt. The hole in the switch is to small for this bolt to go through and there doesn't look like there is enough material to drill it out. Is there some other type of NSS that mounts with just one bolt? With a drill bit in the hole of the switch and the trany in neutral the switch matches up to the one hold on the trany but the bolt doesn't fit through.

Look on the side of the case above the manual control lever, or on the output shaft for the Ford Trans ID code. Post it here. *
The code has a three letter prefix.
The first two letters of a C6 code are PJ. The third letter could be A, C, D..whatever.
The codes suffix has one, two or three digits.
Sample C6 code: PJA-AC1
The ID code will tell exactly what year and model the trans was used in.
Once the trans is ID'd, I'll see if I can find a NSS that'll work.
* I won't be on FTE from later today thru Sunday afternoon.
