Ok im a newbie here. I have a 1997 Ford F-150 4x4 with the 4.6 and manual transmission.
Here is my question. On my panel the only lights i have are the ones behind the speed-ometer. I dont have any behind the left side where the fuel gauge and coolent temps or the right side where the tach is. Im pretty sure its the bulbs but maybe I am wrong. If it is the bulbs how do I access them?
Yeah I can't remember the number but they are a standard bulb. The housing has a ring that unlocks the bulb and it pulls out. Make sure to get clear/amber bulbs or everything will be very dull.
Most of your bulbs will be the normal "peanut" style, generic number 194. Some will be the smaller version, generic number 37. Some of the bulbs will not pull out of the socket, these will be Ford only numbers such as ????-13B765-?. Bring the 13B765 bulbs with you to your local Ford dealer, they're a real pain to identify in the cataloging. Be sure to mark which 13B765 came out of which hole so you don't mix them up. Also be aware the blueish/greenish/whateverish colored ones actually have a thin colored cover on them that can be removed and put on the new bulb(s) as long as you're carefull with the covering. Good luck.
