oil filter question

oil filter question
hi, here in england, uk, getting spares is, at a cost and expensive, if available so i have always bought in extra spare oil filters but i have cocked-up. empty box no filter. my question is,
has any one used a mann w719/27 or a mahle oc 108 oil filter.
a good friend is in the car parts trade and has turned up with these filters but i have never heard of either of them.
having searched the net i am unable to find a chart to cross reference the types of oil filters.
it will take 2 -3 weeks to have spares sent out to me if i can find a usa seller that will agree to dispatch to uk so i may have to do an oil change without a new filter if you have any doubts.

from what I can find, the Mann filter for the 4.2 V6 is a ML1005.
Not sure about the other brand you mention.
I have never seen either here in the states.
Can't you have somebody here in the US send you a personal package, with 6 or 8 oil filters in it, via FedEx or UPS?

hi, thanks for your help, Brian A, i am doing the oil and filter change tonight if the weather allows and will make a judgement when i have the filter in hand.
the filters are german and very reputable by all accounts!
when i lost my info with the last computor crash i lost the name etc of the parts company that supplyed me with the full repair kit to fix the hydrolock. they were brilliant and sent any parts i require using fedex.i will have to find another such company. thank again, it all adds to the joy of owning one of america s finest.
