fe 390 questions

I have recently acquired a set of C4AE heads and a cast 4 barrel intake( both large port) for my 390.I was told by a local engine guy that this would not make power due to too much air flow.Does any one have any suggestions to make these heads run better than what I have?I am running D2TE heads now with a 500 holley 2 barrel. The heads need to be replaced due to exhaust flange problems,I would like to be able to use my new ones. They also have 2.0295 intake valves, unsure of ex. size. Also honed .010 over.Thanx for input

See your other post, and then scroll down here in Performance, Engines etc to the FE forums. All FE, All the time, which means half of it is 390.

Good luck.

to the best of my knowledge none of the regular FE heads flow TOO much so i wouldnt be worried about it "not making power" you select a cam that makes it work.
