TC Lock Led
80% done with my install. Getting late. Plus hungry. Just need to hook a the red light so i know when the switch is on. It is working. Just not with the light. (red)
(green Led) So i can see when it locks up. The light will go out. All is good and wow. What a difference. Have to get used to that baby. And i can see were it will help towing through small towns and some hills. Wowo..
You have all read post about tc lock ups mods. But i noticed something that wasn't mentioned or i read (or i remember. Getting old). While watching the green light waiting for it to go out at 38mph. It Locks up. The light dims down to 25% glowing and then 2 seconds later it goes out. I didn't expect that. I expected it to blink out at 38 at the same time the tc locks. I just thought that was weird. It Gotsta Delay. The od light blinks. But resets after a reset. That don't bother me though.
Thoughts on the Delay of the light going out?

hey Dan...
which schematic did you use? maybe LED is not hooked properly? you can put DMM on where the diode is and seeif the vlotage drops . it might be you relay .. bout that dimming i cant say for sure cause i never watch mine that close LOL. i used Guzzle TC lock mod.
let me know which directions did you follow to build so i can go over it... maybe somone with the same setup will chime in too.....

When if first noticed the delay. All i had was the Green LED hooked up.
Green LED with built resistor..
pealed back purple/yellowTracer wire insulation
Attached Yellow wire.
Ran Yellow wire into cab
Yellow to first wire of LED.
Then the other Led wire to ground.
That is it. went for ride.
12v (light on) TC Unlocked.
Tc locks at 38MPH as it has always
4v (light is very dim. TC Locks
2 seconds light goes out. 0v's
I added a switch later on and everything works fine. The delay was just interesting. Never heard anyone mention it. When the light goes out it is quick. Just a couple seconds later than tc. No fludder of any sorts.

id say you fine, if it was just LED in the line than i would expect that. i think it might have been the loop you made with LED and resistor, or just the way PCM is controlling the TC lock/unlock operation. it would be interesting to see if this is on every truck ....
