ok heres the deal i have a 06 f250 bought the basic fabtech 6in lift used so still trying to get all the parts... i know these lift dont sit level in the rear so im trying to decide on a couple of option... one get the factory f350 blocks for the rear to give it that extra 1\2 in. in the rear to make it sit level or this guy on ebay sell those billet aluminum blocks, i could get for half the price as the dealer plus they look better... wondering what your thought were on these in replacement of the factory blocks, would they hold up?? thanks for all the opions
Billet is stronger than the extruded blocks and probably stronger than forged/cast. So if they are cheaper, that's a nice plus.
On the down side, longer blocks mean more torque is applied to the leaf springs. This can cause axle wrap to become more noticable. If you can, get a set of lift spring and if you have too, then tweak the height. Remember though, more weight on the front helps steering, more weight on the back helps rear traction and your weight distribution is going to be affect either way.
