2001 F150 4x4 5.4 bi-fuel regular cab 7700.
I'm getting sort of a shudder going over bumps. The door sticker calls for 50lbs in front and 60lbs in rear. I lowered air pressure to 40 and 45 and it seemed to help.
I had front end checked other day and had no problems, although suggested it could be shocks. It doesn't pull steering wheel when shuddering, so it very well might be shocks. Looking at shocks at Autozone and Checker, not sure which ones might be best. Am looking for good shock for highway. Mostly concerned about highway ride as do very little off roading. What suggestions for good shock without paying too much. I don't need a performance shock just something to smooth the shuddering on highway and bumpy gravel road. It was sort of confusing with the 7700 series.
Thanks
Max
I picked mine up at Advance Auto for i think for $45 a piece. They come with a 2 yr warranty.. so if they go bad, you can walk into Advance with them and exchange them for new ones.
