O2 Sensor

Would a bad O2 sensor make my "backup light/O2 sensor heater" (In PDB under hood) fuse blow reapeatedly? Like, 5 minutes or so after I start driving the truck? I change the fuse, put it in reverse, and the backup lights come on and don't blow the fuse..It's only when I drive it for a few minutes then my b/u lights and cruise stop working, and my check engine light comes on. I'm also getting about 8 MPG when this happens....I just went to Advance auto and warrantied an old O2 sensor I had lying around...So I'm going outside to try that now..They have a lifetime warranty, so It's the first thing I thought of..lol Thanks

O2 Sensor

I don't think a bad o2 would do this unless they are on the sam circut and don't think they are. Sounds to me like a short. I would look at the wiring and find the problem.
