Hi everyone. I am wondering if i can lift the front end up about 3 inches and not have to worry about the steering arm or something? Should i just put blocks in it or make new brackets for the leaf springs? Reason im asking is because i got 16.5 in rims and 35 in tires for cheap and want to put them on. so if anyone has done it the cheap way let me know how you did it or if you guys or gals have any othe suggestions that would be great too! Thanks!
Blocks may not stand up to the lateral forces that are generated by the "side to side" movment wheen steering. There are companies that make mini spring packs that will do just what you want and for not a lot of $$$
I did the same thing you're trying - 35's on a stock truck. I got an add-a-leaf leveling kit for the front, 2.5 inches. Steering is all fine, the wheel is even still straight. Cost about $200 on ebay for the add-a-leaves. And Kris is right, blocks are baaad news in the front, there isn't any company that makes block lifts for front ends because it's simply dangerous.

Not just dangerous, illegal.
There are also a lot of shackle kits on Ebay that allow you to lift the front for a decent price. Type in something like "f250 leveling kit" in Ebay and you'll get all kinds of good stuff.
I have the shackles on my truck...I cant complain about them at all considering the price. I would be willing to say that they are probably the best bang for the buck. The only real problem I had was install simply because my jack kept loosing hydrolic pressure and slowly lowering the truck.
will those shackles work on top of another lift safely? Just wondering cause im getting 350 blocks soon (thanks to indebt) and if the back is higher i would like something to help level it out again.
