need help speed control??
does anyone know if or where there might be a speed control sensor or relay for a 96, eddie bauer explorer, 4x4, 4.0. ??? could really use your help.

I thought it was only in the top of the rear axle at that date, but if the ABS light, Check Engine, are both off when driving and speedometer works as I think it's electronic there would be other problems with cruise.

That should be an electronic cruise control system, (no vacuum) I would check fuses, check stop lamps for correct operation when brake pedal is depressed. From the throttle body trace cable to unit, I think is on the right front fender and determine if inner cable is connected from throttle body to unit somtimes as easy as removing cable end from throttle body lever and pulling on the end gently as I have pulled the cable clear out before.
