I want to stop on my way home from work today to pick up the brake line to plumb my disc conversion. What diameter do I need? Forgot to bring a section with me today.
All depends on your hose ends and master. Typical line is 1/8" Store bought will all have the 1/8 45 double flare fitting. The master may need a 3/16 or even a 3/8 45 fitting with 1/8 diameter pipe size.
Adaptations can be made by the use of adaptors, but this is just another place to leak.
I just finished the same conversion.
The original lines on my 65 F100 were all 3/16.
The lines out of the new master cylinder to the proportioning valve were reduced with adapters to 3/16, so I used that size throughout the whole truck.
