long crank before starting
my 2000 expy is suffering from a very long cranking time when hot after going to the store type situation. does it have crank or cam position sensor that is affected this way. or is it more likely fuel??

If the coolant temperature senor is reading on the high side when hot, it could be forcing the PCM to lean out the fuel mixture too much resulting in the hard starting. Other possibilities are you're in need of a tune-up or the fuel pump is getting weak.

Temp sensor seems ok. plugs have 10K miles, fuel pressure is good too. It does seem very much heat related though--it was only 111*f yesterday in Phoenix! I was thinking maybe cam or crank position sensor?
