I placed this in both the 6.4 diesel and Super Duty forums.
No, not a dealer. I have been looking for a new SD KR, and I am in the process of buying one. I had to look far, but I think I found the best deal.
I found it though E-bay, but a dealer in Houston TX Tommy Vaughn Ford, is discounting all Super Duties $19,000 below MSRP. I am in the process of buying a F250 KR for $36,195, MSRP is $55,195. I guess it is a fire sale. The salesman said they had so many on the lot, not selling and so much money tied up in floor stock, they had to do something. I was worried it might have been a flood car, or similar, but the VIN checks out and it looks legit. I am having it shipped to me for $1350, but I am still saving a boat load. I can buy alot of diesel for the money I am saving.......
I realize most dealers throw BS about acting fast, but I gotta believe they are moving them now.
Just a bit of info for anyone looking..........hands off the Black KR please.
not working either right now, but i swear I did see it for $20K off before.
Perhaps since a lot of different dealers are giving such huge discounts, it might be good to create a thread/folder where users could list of such huge discounts by region/state.
As an example i'm really tempted by the above mentioned deals, and wouldn't mind driving the 1,900miles back to CA...but if a user from states closer to CA would post of a similar deals in their neck of the woods that would make it easier to compare prices and potential trade-offs
just an idea....
(i still think that probably TX dealers have the biggest inventories and hence biggest discounts)
I'm not sure about diesel emissions, but gasoline engine vehicles from Texas don't pass the emissions standards in 48 states. Sweet sounding deal though.
but yeah they only seem to have F350 chassis cabs....i guess it depends if you can find a bed for cheap....
somebody mentioned that a texas truck might not meet emission requirements in CA, is there a way to determine that? perhaps by the Vin #....mostly interested in the PSD

Where did you get this information? Are you saying vehicles manufactured in Texas won't pass in 48 states or that the emissions standards are higher in 48 states than they are in Texas?
FWIW my diesel is not emissions tested. It is a simple safety check and I am on my way.
Yeah I got that, but what about the other 46 he's talking about. Now that I re-read maybe he just mis-typed it and meant they are 48 state vehicles/emissions, not they "don't pass the emissions standards in 48 states".
The paperwork should arrive tomorrow via DHL. I am using my bank to finance $18k (4.8%), $20k down, so if there were problems, they should have identified it.
In a few days I should be the proud owner of a 2008 SD KR.
I have already sold my 97 Expedition too, a friend of mine's kid just bought it.
MA and CA have the toughest standards. Ford builds the trucks to pass the emissions test in all other states. CA/MA smog equipment is available at no extra cost.
