There will be major changes coming - it hasnt been all that long with high fuel prices and a weakened US economy and look how fast things went bad. Wait a few years and see whats left for an auto industry!
i'll say it again... the automakers must have stakes in the fuel problem too... don't you think the big three would be starting huge inquiries into the fuel price seeing its doing so much damage to them?? honestly?? i think we're all being screwed, blindfolded, and no kissing.
It isn`t just Ford, it`s not good news for any of the North American auto makers period!
Even if they all formed one big automotive manufacturing company I doubt it would be profitable till oil goes down in price.

Ok mr conspiracy theorist I have a question for ya, I see where your coming from, but the thing I dont get about what your saying, is what could possibly motivate ford to lose billions of dollars in sales?
I mean all vehicle sales are going down, and yes it doesnt seem like they are raising too much of a huge deal about it, but I cant see what would benefit them in losing billion dollars in sales? Rack that brain and tell me what ya think
Maybe car and truck prices might come back down where they belong, so its in the working mans reach to buy a new one, wouldnt that be great.
nothing is motivating them to lose money, but i'm saying that perhaps they're getting compensated in some other form (oil revenue) that causes them to almost ignore the rising price...
say, news has it that the price per barrel will be somewhere in the 70-80 dollar range by winter... lets cross everything we can!!
price of fuel should drop with it, but we'll never see it where it should be. it'd sure be nice to only spend 30-40 bucks a week on fuel instead of 70-80!!
I sure hope it would drop, but it seems like the greed is high with those companies.
We dont have it that bad though, up in PG it was even higher. I forget was gas was, but it was about 10 cents a liter more.
Diesel was 144.9 a liter and on 300 liters it adds up!
Mcbride was even more. Edmonton was the cheapest on the way back, at about 6 cents a liter cheap for gas and diesel then in langham (langham is usualy the same, maybe a cent or two cheaper then stoon)
seeing record profits for oil companies makes me sick... billions in PROFITS in the 1st quarter... thats PROFIT, not gross sales, thats PROFIT. above and beyond costs and all the other bs they do. tell me that its justified?? bullspit... i'd love to direct a lightening strike to some certain individuals...
