What would you do?

Took my truck in for the brake booster recall. When I picked it up, there was a grease mark on the driver's seat which I pointed out to the Service Manager. He got the detail guy, and he tried to get it out. The stain is still there along with other marks on the door from the tech that did the work. Does not make me happy!

I sent a letter to the owner of the dealership, and still to this day have not heard an answer to my letter. I told him the details of this incident and one previous when they put a scratch in the paint.

Short of not taking my truck there anymore, any other suggestions. I will not be taking it there again for any work period. Bought the truck new just over 1½ years ago. No respect for my purchase or continued support.

Go back and talk to the General Manager. Odds are he'll take care of it if you're nice.

Yes, unfortunately these things can happen. I'm not sticking up for the tech nor the dealer here. I work on them all the time, thats what a rag to wipe your hands is for and before you get in a customers vehicle with greasy paws, wash them! I would agree with fatalerrorz, go back and talk to the service manager be nice but firm, if the tech did leave grease prints on your vehicle they should take care of it. If they want to keep buisiness they will.

The dealership stained my seat as well; they also left my oil cap off and lost my key
and remote. I change my oil now and just mark it off in the book.

I pointed this out to them and I was polite. They said the oil cap being left off was no big deal because I checked (what if I didn't?) I had to wait another hour 1/2
before they could get a key and remote (fob). They got most of the stain out and then gave me coupons for servicing work in the future. I will be taking my truck back to them for the brake hose recall and some other warranty issues (faded flares) and see what happens.

when you pull in my dealership the service writer and his helper go over the entire vehicle looking for existing scratches , door dings , dents , ect.... Then they put plastic covers over the seat , steering wheel , and put a large disposable mat on the floor. I then sign the inspection report and away she goes !!! Works Good

I think the longer you wait to get the stain out, the harder it will be to get it out again.

Maybe you should consider bringing it to an auto body & detail shop, they should be able to make your truck as good as new again (including the scratch)

On my recall, the service guy walked around the truck, and looked into the cab for anything. Also under the hood. They should cover the seat(s), and a paper/plastic mat on the floor.
