Two Car Garage,Really?

We have had 3 houses since i got my Excursion. The first two it fit and had room to spare both two car garages, then we get here to Arizona and my Excursion wont fit it's to long. So what i'm gettin at is when did the standard garage shrink? Now that i've got frontend work to do soon i'm missin the longer garages of yesterday. Larger house smaller garage seems so unfair and the beer fridge is cramped too damn shame.Just my rant for today.

when buying houses my wife and I would both walk in with a tape measure, she would head for the master bedroom and closet and I would head for the garage. if either one of them was too small we left, it took the Realtors a while to get used to this. they couldn't understand someone making a final decision that quick.

I did take the tape but the price was right and the neighborhood is great. i'll make money with it when we leave in a year or so. just coulda used the extra 4.5 feet at the end of the garage ,i just dont understand why its so short. Arizona has some wierd construction practices when compared to other states weve lived.

not wierd construction practices, high priced land so they make smaller lots and don't have the room for the garage.
