92 F-150 issues
Picked up a 92 F-150 5.8 with an E4OD. Purchased it cheap knowing it wouldn't run. Doesn't matter what fuel tank your using, the fuel pump wouldn't shut off, either one depending on the switch. Long story short, I replaced the ECM and now it will run again. However, it now runs really really rough and has no power. There isn't anything else I should have done when I replaced the ECM was there? I put new plugs in but that didn't help. Since the ECM was going bad, I was thinking maybe an injector went bad due to the constant pressure being fed my the fuel pump when the motor wasn't running but the key being on. I've since learned that the ECM problem was fairly common on those trucks. I will be checking the fuel pressure reg and do a compression check and check the fuel pressure at the rail. I'll also be plugging in my scan tool to see what i can find.
Anyone else have any suggestions other than the changing the wires or ignition coil?
