Cdr/Turbo question

When I pulled my ats turbo from a junkyard truck I forgot to grab the valve cover for my ats setup. I was looking at the banks cdr setup and they have an adapter that goes beteen the block and the oil filler neck. Is there anything special about this adapter? I was just thinking that if I put a 90 degree elbow on the oil filler neck(in place of the cap) with a nipple that had a hose running to the cdr on the side of the airbox, that this would have the same effect as the banks setup.

What do guys think?

I was also wondering if the exhaust pipes made to run the turbo on a 4 speed would fit around the 5 speed?

I plan on installing the turbo on Friday, hopefully all will go well.

The only different setup on ATS turbo systems is actually a new dip stick tube for the automatic trannies.

The downpipe is routed right where the tube is located on a NA engine.

My CDR is actually in the valve cover, the vent runs to the air box.

So the pipes should work around my five speed then.

Would routing the cdr valve from the oil filler neck recieve the same results as the banks kit routing it infront of the oil filler neck?
