front diff vent tube?

front diff vent tube?
When I lifted my truck I had to drop the front diff and the vent hose came off with the diff, but i'm not sure where it connects to. There is a metal tube hanging down by the passenger side of the tranny, does anyone know if thats it.

the vent tube for the front diff just connects on top of the diff.... i had the same thing happen when i lifted mine, so i went to napa and bought a 4" piece of hose and 2 couplings to splice it all together so it works now.... you will probably need to do the same.

no, he is definately talking about the front diff tube.... the tranny tube doesnt get touched when lifting, but the front diff tube will definatley be an issue if its not extended to compensate for the dropping of the diff.
