Cruise control

I have a 96 F-350, crewcab, 7.3, 5spd, 4 wd, 4:11's. I'm just wondering if anyone else has had a problem with the cruise just quitting. Mine died yesterday on the way home. I did a quick check fuse good, switches in the center of the steering wheel good. It's 29 degrees here so I'm waiting for it to warm up a little before I start tracing stuff. I tried a search and either I'm too stupid to word it right or there isn't anything to find. Anyone here have any ides where to start?
Thanks for any help.

The diesels use a unique electronic cruise computer that's tied into the electronic accelerator pedal of the EEC. It's not the same as the electronic cruise servo on gas engines that operates the throttle. Try checking things like the brake cancel switch and the clutch cancel switch. A Haynes manual wiring diagram will show where to look.
