51 Ranger Marmon Herrington on Craigslist

(sorry if someone has already posted-did not see anything.)

On Craigslist in Seattle, WA, is a posting for a 51 Ranger Marmon Herrington.

51 Ford Ranger Marmon-Herrington 4x4 Rare

I do not know anything about the truck, just came across it in a random Google search.

Duane.

There's a factory photo of a 1950 F1 M-H Ranger 4WD shown on page 86 of the: Standard Catalog of Light Duty Ford Trucks 1905/2002 (ISBN: 0-87349-411-3).

This book is out of print.

This has been for sale for a while. If I'm remembering right this is the Ranger that Ilya first told us about probably 3 or 4 years ago. The price to my mind is too high. Especially if I'm seeing correctly that the front axle has lock outs. A Ranger wouldn't have lock outs, suggesting it's got a replacement front axle. Finding a correct axle to put it right would be a challenge. Maybe Mark Mossell will add his 2 cents on this. He and Chuck are the experts. Stu
