Mystery connectors

I have a 68 250, and Im having a small delima.

I recently found a small harness running under the truck, that leads from the solinoid, across the firewall and runs under the truck. It has the standard male/female connector on it, and im trying to figure out where in the hell it goes! I'm hoping that you guys call pull through on this one, its starting to give me nightmares. Ive looked under the truck, and found nothing that it could connect to.

But there is another empty connector running along the left side of the inner fender, leading out from the left side wiring harness that runs into the cab.

Both these connectors are starting to bother me, as I have no idea where they go, and have no diagram to tell me.

Please help me out, im starting to talk about em in my sleep and my woman is treating to leave me if I dont fix it soon. (well not really, but it sounded good anyway!)

Sounds to me a like a Aux power line to a trailer plug or the like.

You never mentioned if it was aftermarket wire or OEM wiring.

What Gauge wire is it?
What colouring wire?
Are there any connectors ?

This probably won't be DIRECT help for your current problem, but it's interesting if you still have the VIN sticker: get a build sheet from Ford for FREE:
http://bbs.off-road.com/ubbthreads/showflat.php?Cat=&Board=fordgeneral&Number=934380& page=0&view=expanded&sb=5&o=&fpart=1
This is good for any Ford vehicle up to '91. They don't accept requests from newer vehicles because that info is available online.

Its Oem. As for the guage of the wire, im not really sure
it runs off of the tailight harness and stops at the brake line for the front left tire. It is a small harness with two small female connectors inside.

The one in the engine compartment runs along the left side of the wheelwell and stops roughly, about a foot and a half from the horn.

(Its not a horn harness though. Even though my horn doesnt work, I know what the problem is with that.)

These two delimas are but a couple more electircal gremlins plauging my truck. Someday, everything will work, (I hope) I would list all my problems here, but theres not enough room LOL.

it is common for there to be unused connections on some of these trucks. my 77, 78, and 79 all have spare connectors all over the truck...
