Actually, it's called Dupli-Color truck bed liner. Compared to paint, it's a bitch. I'm working on rolling it on and here's my progress so far:
Note, also, the flat black wheels, grille, and headlight trim. This thing is going to black on black.
That's gonna be faded in about 2 mo. I painted my bumper airdam with it, and I have to put armorall on it or it looks really faded, almost grey. There maybe some kind of sealer/satin clear that you can put over it. That way you get the "primer" look without the fading and hand prints all over.
hey Mudslingur - why'd you pick that handle? I just used that as an insult in another thread - nothing personal- I was referring to poor bodymen, but I'm guessing you know that!
Also - what does "Mexican - proud and stupid...." mean??

Its pretty much a short summarry of my personality
Proud of where im from and stupid because im a joker
"Rob and Big" called.....they want their truck back...As far is fading i guess mabye you could put a coat of rustoleum when it fades.
I've gotten so many Rob and Big references from people looking at my truck! lol
I think I'm going to just keep a couple cans of the spray on bedliner with me. Then, if it chips off, I can just reapply. I don't really mind fading. It goes back to the 'why?' question. This thing is going to be beaten off road and I want the protection. The fact that it looks kick *** is just a pleasant surprise.
After this, it's going to get an exocage, solid front axle, and 35x14.50 Boggers!
Oh, and did I mention that with the headlights off at night, I can go full stealth? That means I can go all night-op and pick my girlfriend up without her parents knowing...

She snuck out one night and met me by the front gate
Her daddy came out waving that twelve guage
We tore out the drive, he peppered my tailgate
What was I thinking?
Not too bad, how much have you spent on the paint/coating so far? Maybe give it one more light pass with a wide roller to get some of the streaks out, it that matters.
So far, I've put roughly $150 into it (two 1 gallon containers and 2 spray cans). The final coat you see on it is spray. I need to get about three more cans of spray and finish up the roof (I'm fully spraying the roof, too hard to roll it on) and even out the final coat. Getting an even coat with spray is infinitely easier than trying to do it with a roller.
Are yo using a spray can? If so, are you using one of those triggers you attach? They make it WAY easier to spray and get an even coat! I think they are like 2 bucks - or less.
