starter relay
I have an intermitent problem with the starter relay.First thing while cool it works fine.I drive for a while and shut down and I've got a no start problem. I replaced the digital transmission range sensor and no change.I checked fuse 21 and its good. Is there a main relay that feeds this fuse circuit? I can jump the starter relay to start but when this happens I cannot shift into 4 wheel low.I know its a relay heating up but which one? 1998 f150 4x4 with a 5.4.I'm going bald trying to solve this HELP!!!

If your truck is equipped with RAP (Remote Anti-theft Personality module), there is also a starter interrupt relay in-circuit between the clutch pedal jumper and fuse F21.
However, that relay isn't itself involved in any way in the operation of the 4WD system...
