Okay guys I am new to this section, I have been creeping the last couple of months. I am working on a deal and need some solid advice form the "experts" on here.
I am looking @ 2006 F-350 Lari, FX4, with 25,000 miles. $29,800 is as low as I can get them.
Truck is in washington, I live in northern Alberta. So i have never seen the truck but my dad happend by and said the truck is in really good shape.
Oasis, problems: problem with trubo boost, found rust in turbo, drain installed
and issue with injectors. these were both around the 14,000 mile mark. no issues since.
So is this a good deal, considering I have to transport $800, GST $1500, inspections $500. Block heater $ 500.00 ,
Does any one know about converting the odometer from miles to KM, i havent found a clear answer during my searches???
I think thats it for now.... please help I need to make a decision sooner than later... baby is due and wont have time to go pick up a truck in a couple weeks. NWT
That rig should have the block heater if it is a diesel. May just need a cord. You can get one off fleabay for about $15. 06 F350 with the 6.0 on NADA.com shows $34,400 clean retail for a DRW CC and $33,675 for the SRW, same truck. Hope this helps.
yup this helps,, I know that the truck should have the block heater, but they are saying it doesn't, the sales person told me that it has the COIL " heater" but not the wires. 270 for part and 2 hrs labour... this is not sitting well with me and I should back away form the deal but the truck is low miles and clean. Cant find clean trucks here, they are all oil patch trucks and beat on.
plus just was reading and I hav to pay 1000 at the border for A/C tax.. this deal is looking worse all the time.
