4x4 help please!!

okay heres the deal when i first bought my 250 when i locked in 4wd low it was a definant loud clunk. now its not as loud but i can definitaly tell its locked in. is that good bad or what. also i try to lock my hubs in atleast once a month and i did the other day and the drivers side is kinda grinding a lil locked or unlocked (needle bearings?) anyway when i turn i can hear almost a rattling on the floor board (Drivers side) im thinkin about just goin ahead and pulling the hubs this weekend does anybody have any other opinions? truck has about 118k miles and i doubt anything has every been "svcd" on 4wd system. i really dont wanna cough up 350+ on a new hub but i guess if i have to i have to. and should i just do the needle bearings or what i've read guzzles and it doesnt look "too" hard but my luck wont a thing go right

I believe you will find your problem when you pull the hubs. Sounds like you know what you are looking for and probably going to find. I went with Warn Premium Hubs and never looked back.
