Kane County fair and I was very nervous for two reasons. Clutch is on the fritz and I need the truck for pulling the trailor. . . and I'm tight on cash Anyhow I made it down 238' of the 275' track. The clutch slipped the hole way. In my 120 race setting. . . feathering the throttle because the RPMs would let loose. I only remember looking over to my EGT's and seeing them somehwere around 1000 degrees, and boost couldn't have been much over 25-30 average. My tires certainly didn't slip. . . I could feel the front end torquesteering like crazy! All in all it was a blast, the truck sounded great (thanks extreme ICP) and nothing broke. Oh and the announcer said that it was the prettiest ford there damn near made me blush Whenever I get the money for a double disk, and I wear these damn nittos down and get a set of AT's, I'll pull again with the help of all my DP's got and hopefully some functioning Meth, I'll try to post the video of it soon.

You know, if you put the chip in a stock or tow tune, you probably would have actually gotten more power to the ground with less clutch slippage, and a few more feet.
I like to control my clutch slippage, or tire slippage by the throttle and not by the power setting personally. It would have slipped even in the stock setting, and it wouldn't have sounded cool stock setting will still get the egts well over 1000 degrees and still get a decent amount of boost. Feathering the throttle worked untill about 200 feet where the clutch just completely stopped grabbing and unless I were to stop the rpms stayed at about 3200 until the truck stopped. But like I said it was a blast. And its still holding on the street. . . I found that out on the way home

one more thing, I know for a fact bassed on how it pulled. . . that with a double disk and not so knobby tires, that I could have pulled in either low 3rd, or maybe even in high gear, I can't wait to try it again and be able to see what the engine really can do.

Were there a lot off trucks pulling there. How did you place? Glad you had fun. Thats the maij goal. Cant wait to see that Video. Good luck on your next pull. I bet your hooked now. Pardon the pun.
So do you think the mud grapplers are too sticky and grip too much for a track?
Oh yeah those are not the tires for pulling. I like a little more grip than most. . . even though you are flirting with broken parts when you don't have a lot of slippage there. . . but the nittos are too much. I couldn't even keep it going down the track straight it was torque steering so much. I like the BFG's for pulling. personally I think if you have a little slip. . . but more grip than slip you are using more of the torque. Its my third pull, I've been hooked, but damn thats another very expensive hobby
