No Spark...need help

I am trying to fix the mess left by a previous owner in my bronco. He converted to a duraspark 2 and I am trying to sort it out now. I have the distributor/coil harness wired up, the white wire of the other is wired up. I put a PTC jumper from the red to a hot at all times for now, is this ok until I can run it to hot in run? Will that work? My other problem is that he cut the red wire from the coil. Is this hot at all times, or just hot in run. The other wires from the coil go to the distributor and the other is a one wire connector to a round, uh, thing. Where can I wire the Coil?

Okay, thanks. I'll remember that. But for now, I have wired up the Duraspark box, but now I was hoping for a suggestion on where to run my positive lead for the coil.

Your positive lead for your coil should run to the "run" side of the ignition switch. If the Bronco is like the truck than run it to a red with green stripe wire coming off the ignition switch. If your setup, duraspark, uses a resistance wire inline with the coil than it will be a pink wire that is connected to the red with green stripe wire. These resistance wires can be found at most parts houses.
