What synthic oil is approved for a 2008 6.4L
I have heard several mention Amsoil...But email from there dealer said it was not approved for the 2008.

I"m using Amsoil 5-40W synthic--it has a "CJ-4" rating

They also have Shell synthic at Wallmart too

Valvoline's synthetic is well spoken of.

From a petroleum oil perspective, Lubrication Engineers (LE) oil is also highly ranked.

Make sure if you buy the synthetic Shell Rotella-T that the bottle has the "CJ" rating; I saw some in the new design jug at Tractor Supply and it was still "CI". Wal*Mart near my place had the new synthetic CJ rated but price was up to $18.nn. I am now running the Rotella synthetic.

Mobil Delvac 1 ESP is also synthetic and rated "CJ" Make sure it is the "ESP" version to get the "CJ" rating. I had to buy from distributor.
