Warranty info
I have a 2002 7.3 PSD 450. I need some clarification regarding when the warranty from Ford is over. I have always understood the deal to be that it was good for 100,000 miles OR 5 years...... whichever came first then would end the warranty.
Recently someone told that I should check into it because he thought it was good until the 100,000 miles expired, period. So your thoughts and or experiences please. I did not buy any kind of extended warranty. We're talking factory warranty only.

Thanks for reply. OK..... pretty much what I've read. Here's the deal. I've got a seal leaking at the HPOP. The truck has about 73K on it. I"ve had it in under warranty at least 3 different times for them to fix. Each time it was a hassle. I'd have to take it back in after they fixed it because it was still leaking. But each time they would eventually get it stopped. The last time was just before the 5 years was up. This was a really difficult time. I ended up taking it back 5 times before they finally got it stopped.
That was about 8 or 9 months ago. It started leaking again about 5 months after they had fixed it. Then it appeared to stop. But now it is back to leaking fairly strongly.
Do the seals on these pumps go out that often? Or do I have some other problem?
My brother seems to think it may be leaking at the oil pan. And you know what that means!
