Me neither. To me, the only usefull thing about an old grain truck is the interchangeable parts.

And.... thats why they're cheap, put on a nice deck with styled sides and it a car hauler that'll get attention.

How long is the frame behind the cab though? Would it be long enough for a 18ish foot deck?
Also whats the strength of the original frame? Does a guy have to beef it up or..?

It would be strong and big enough for a vehichle and tools. (with a tail added) Probably 7-8000lbs. (with duals) GVW

That would be pretty cool then. Maybe that might be an idea for your 7.3, if the 67 project is kinda to difficult.

No don't think so, In the 67 it will make that truck extremely uselful as a driver in a old 1 ton you wouldn't gain much.

I think alot of those old trucks, of various makes, are pretty neat. Theres something about those fenders that do it for me.

Nelson sale, prob the Fury's will bring 100-150 bucks most likely, I love Elwood sales.
